ROBERT MACINTYRE went straight from partying in Oban to playing in the Open Championship.

And now behind-the-scenes footage has emerged of his wild night celebrating winning the Scottish Open with friends and family… including a mysteriously ‘stolen’ golf buggy!

He celebrated wildly on the 18th green – and continued the party back at home[/caption]

MacIntyre, 27, clinched a dramatic victory on the 18th hole at the Renaissance Club a fortnight ago to win his home tournament in front of a delighted crowd.

He said: “I wanted The Scottish Open, I’ve got the Scottish Open.

“I think I lost my voice after the scream on that (last) hole.

“I thought I was short (with the final putt).

“Look, I’ve put a lot of work into this.

“I’ve changed a lot within my team and I’ve just worked hard.

“I got a bit of luck on 16 but you need a bit of luck to win golf tournaments.

“This is the one I wanted. Now there’s more to get.”

The Glencruitten Golf Club ace vowed to “celebrate hard” as he was interviewed on the green in the moments after sealing his second Tour win in five events.

He said: “Next week is a new week but I tell you, I’m going to celebrate this with my family, friends, and everyone here. I’m going to celebrate this one hard.

“We’ll pitch up to The Open when we pitch up to The Open.”

Indeed, he ended up having to reschedule his pre-tournament press conference at Royal Troon as he recovered from his hangover.

And when he did arrive he was personally sought about by reigning US Open champ Bryson DeChambeau, who congratulated him and then couldn’t resist asking about the Scot’s drinking antics.

The LIV Golf star now has some insight into the party shenanigans.

MacIntyre shared a series of images and video clips on his Instagram story from the night.

He first posted a picture of him holding the Scottish Open trophy on the 18th green at Renaissance with the caption “How it started…”

MacIntyre then shared a video of him “getting everyone involved” which showed the lefty golfer dancing arm-in-arm with a security guard.

The unlikely pairing were mobbed by MacIntyre’s friends and family who had been singing and clapped him into the room.

Another picture showed MacIntyre and close mate Niall Macfarlane up to some mischief, with his buddy putting a plant pot on his head.

A rather blurry photo captioned “the end” appears to show MacIntyre being carried home by two of his pals.

And the capers didn’t stop there.

A video from the morning AFTER showed three friends driving a golf buggy that “someone had parked at the house” amidst the high jinks.

The cart likely came from MacIntyre’s home club in Oban, which we listed as one of Scotland’s nine best hidden gem golf courses you can play for less than £45.

Earlier this year MacIntyre secured his first PGA Tour success at the Canadian Open with his DAD as an emergency stand-in caddie.
